The first question one might ask is, “Which Bible is fascinating?” This is a difficult question to avoid because there are so many Bibles. “The Bible” is available in different languages (modern English, Chinese and Spanish, and old Greek, Hebrew and Latin, too), different versions (ASV, KJV, NIV, NEB and ISV are examples), different packages (study Bible, student Bible, etc.), different sizes like the large family Bible and smaller pocket Bible, and in different forms (a book, digital formats, audio CD’s and tapes, and in software).

The story of the Bible is long and convoluted. What people think about the Bible varies by religion and even denomination. For some it’s a work of literature, for others it serves as a historical record, for others it is a book of faith … a message from God.
